EMILIANO MAZZA DE LUCA

Nace en Montevideo en 1970. Hijo de escenógrafo y fonoaudióloga especializada en teatro, creció entre la tragedia griega y el sainete rioplatense. La rebeldía adolescente lo llevó a recorrer las carreras de programación y matemáticas, hasta que en 1994 ingresó al departamento de arte de la serie "Curro Jiménez II", de Antena 3 de España, que se rodaba en Uruguay. Su primer tarea fue barrer el set: un cliché! Asistió al Taller de Producción Ejecutiva de Sandy Lieberson en la EICTV.

A partir de 1997 se dedicó a la producción de publicidad. Socio fundador de la productora Paristexas, ejerció tareas de Asistente de Dirección, Jefe de Producción, Director de Producción y Productor Ejecutivo.
Entiende a la producción como un pilar creativo fundamental para dar a luz un proyecto.
En marzo de 2011 creó Passaparola, una productora de contenidos de autor con la misión de "hacer correr la voz", (parafraseando con el nombre), sobre los temas que le interesa contar. Actualmente dirige y produce los largometrajes: "Multitudes"(en distribución), "Vida a Bordo" (en edición) y "Nueva Venecia" una co producción con Colombia (en rodaje). Además la serie documental "Plano, Color y Línea", sobre la reconstrucción del mural PAX IN LUCEM del pintor Joaquín Torres García quemada en el incendio del Museo de Arte Moderno de Río de Janeiro en 1974. (Investigación y dasarrollo).

Sus proyectos han sido invitados por festivales de cine y foros como: Doc Montevideo, Cine Fábrica de Redes Morelia Lab, Doc Bs As, DocsDF, Latin Side of the Doc, Sunny Side of the Doc, Ventana Sur, Festival Internacional de Cine de Guadalajara, Festival Internacional de Cine de Monterrey, así como al Dok Leipzig y DocuLab Guadalajara.

He was born in Montevideo in 1970. Son of scenographer and speech therapist specializing in theatre, grew up among the Greek tragedy and the rioplatense sainete. Founding partner of the production company Paristexas, practiced tasks of Assistant Director, Production Manager, Production Director and Executive Producer. He understands the production as a creative mainstay to give birth to a project. He created in March 2011, Passaparola, a producer of contents of author with a mission to “spread the Word” (paraphrasing with the name), on the topics he is interested in telling. He currently directs and produces the feature films: “Multitudes” (in distribution), “Vida a bordo” (in Edition) and “Nueva Venecia” a co production with Colombia (in shooting).
