MARÍA RENÉE PRUDENCIO
María Renée Prudencio estudió Letras Hispánicas en la Universidad de Chile. Vive en el Distrito Federal desde hace más de quince, donde se desempeña como actriz, guionista, traductora y adaptadora de cine, televisión y teatro.
Sus trabajos más recientes como actriz de cine son “La vida después”, ópera prima de David Pablos, filmada en 2012 y “Club sándwich” de Fernando Eimbcke, del mismo año.
Como guionista ha trabajado en distintos ámbitos: en cine ha colaborado con Francisco Franco en el guión de los largometrajes “Quemar las naves”, estrenada en el 2007, y “Tercera llamada”, estrenada en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Guadalajara en el 2013 y ganadora del Ariel por Mejor Guión Adaptado en el 2014. En televisión ha escrito series para Columbia Pictures y telenovelas para TV Azteca. Su mas reciente trabajo en teatro es la adaptación de "El curioso incidente del perro a la medianoche” de Mark Haddon.

María Renée Prudencio studied Hispanic Literature at the University of Chile. Lives in Mexico City from more than fifteen years, where she works as actress, scriptwriter, translator and adapter of film, television and theatre.
Her most recent work as a film actress are "Life after", first film by David Pablos, filmed in 2012 and "Club sandwich" by Fernando Eimbcke, of the same year.
As scriptwriter she has worked in various fields: in movies has collaborated with Francisco Franco in the screenplay of the feature film "Burn the bridges", which premiered in 2007, and "Last call", awarded at the Guadalajara International Film Festival in 2013 and winner of the Ariel for Best Adapted Screenplay in 2014. In television she has written a series for Columbia Pictures and soap operas for TV Azteca. Her most recent theatre work is the adaptation of “The curious incident of the dog at midnight" by Mark Haddon. |
